You can probably get a couple of hundred US dollars each for them. But the truth is Curtiss Electric propellors, particularly the C532D (the D stands for duralumin) are impossible to find and fetch around USD$120,000 if you do find them. Many restoration projects use Hamilton Standard propellors instead.

Thankyou everyone. Sounds they are a fairly common piece of kit. I am curious, what sort of value would they bring? I have a matching pair.

Also fitted to Grumman Wildcat, P-47 Thunderbolt, Martin marauder and, oddly enough, on some late model Vickers Wellington on a Rotol hub, in Europe.

They have a bunch of sprung loaded carbon brushes mounted on the engine, close to the propeller shaft. These contact slip rings fitted to the back of the propeller hub.

So the whole thing spins with the prop….must make electrical contact similar to the horn button and steering-wheel on a car but on a bigger scale I’m guessing.

On the nose of the prop

Ok…wow!
So can be fitted to either a radial or V……how would it be mounted?

Propeller pitch change motor and gearbox for a Curtiss Electric Propeller. In Australia, mainly fitted to P-40s and Beauforts.
