What is this from? Control unit type 704 Ref 10L/262

I was wondering what aircraft this would have come from, I initially thought it was Canberra but am starting to have my doubts, it is most likely from a 40’s, 50’s or 60’s Australian aircraft. It seems to be some sort of AM and FM radio receiver with preset channels.

Had one not so long back.I was told by an ex Shackleton crew that it was for plotting sonar buoys on different frequencies for getting a fix on by cross referencing the signals.
