Looks like an engine vacuum gauge for a non-supercharged aircraft. Air Ministry crown so before 1944.

Judging by the photo it has been full of water and the dial screws have rusted away.

May have been a luminous pointer so worth getting it checked for radiation before venturing inside. Do not blow or suck the rear orifice for the same reason!
