While I was reading AFM article ‘Rafales Over Brittany,’ it clearly stated under the sub-heading ‘Rafale BM’;
‘After the Gulf War and Kosovo conflict, studies clearly showed that two-seat combat aircraft were far better adapted to complex attack missions. The workload in Armee de l’Air single-seat Jaguars and Mirage F1s or Aeronavale Super Etendards was deemed too high in some demanding hostile enviroments and the aspect of ‘burden sharing’ between a pilot and a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) was well suited to ‘mud-moving’ misions.’
Therefore, why is the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) single-seat. What is the JSF programm doing???
