Light hearted one this, we’ve had an aviation X-mas presents thread, so this one is; What’s your aviation ambition for 2006?
I’ll start by saying that mine is to go over to the Aviodrome in Holland, and take a pleasure flight in the Catalina that opperates out of there (140 Euros I believe).
So over to you………………………………

To see the management at East Fortune get their act together and restart the Bolingbroke and Beaufighter restorations.
Best wishes

flight aims 2006
Persuade owner operators of vintage veteran types that a flying visit to the scenic coasts of North Scotland is well worthwhile because not only is the airspace fairly uncrowded ,I would be willing to contribute some superb air to air photography of their visit. Interested ? Just drop me an email via the website www.scotaviaimages.co.uk

You could have been talking about, P-39, Hawk 75 and a certain Bristol type thing, just to mention a few! Always good to have a volunteer.
Getting the Halifax cockpit structure built.

You are about 458,457,745 from the front. 🙂
As for my own hopes for this year, maybe finish off what others started…..

Possibly seeing more than one Spit in the air at a show for the first time (and maybe as many as three Hurricanes into the bargain)…
Possibly getting published…
Possibly doing air-to-air (no actual prospect, but hope springs eternal…)
And, most fervently, a 34th year of seeing only entirely safe air displays. I’ve had a long fortunate streak that way. Here’s to 2006 as the year we all see nothing but…
