I have a lot of least favorites, here are a few:
The highest travel day in the US is the Sunday after Thanksgiving (the fourth Sunday in november). I made the mistake of agreeing to pick-up a friend arriving at LAX on that Sunday. Never again.
I once selected the backwards facing seats on a 727-100. Never again.
Any Southwest Airlines terminal is a hellish nightmare. Never again.
International Arrivals at Miami airport makes Southwest Airlines look organised. Never again.

As LAX is my home airport, please alow me to extand an apology from all Los Angelenos for your “hassle” in the Bradley Terminal.
But in the end, it is a funny story and should be worth a pint or two back home.

My worst expereince also doubles up as my funniest airport expereince when coming through LAX Tom Bradley Terminal this summer I found myself in line for some extra special security checks thanks to the t-shirt I was wearing.
I was in Santa Monica and having been bored stiff by all the coverage of the Winona Ryder trial I happened upon a little shop selling t-shirts saying “Winona went shoplifting and all I got was this lousy t-shirt” so of coursre I got one.
The t-shirt was well received by everyone who saw me wearing it, people in the airport even asked where they could get one, all except for a very angry looking security official who’s name badge I happened to notice was “Ryder”. It turns out he’s Winona’s cousin and took great exception to my taking the mick out of his poor cousin’s predicament. Needless to say the entire flight waltzed through security unabated and I was stopped and searched at every turn. My bags were checked and double checked and they were sniffed as well.
Still… I got a nice round of applause when I finally made the plane home. I think I’ll need to import some of those t-shirts for all the new friends I made. I don’t think Mr Ryder will want one though. (lol)

The domestic terminal in Manila. I never realised a terminal could double up as a farmyard!
