What kit did you get this year

I’m somewhat humbled to say I received an Airfix 1/24th scale Mosquito from a very good friend and his family. Banff Strike Wing colours appeal greatly.

I’m also going to do a Banff machine, more specifically this one:

I wanted something a bit more colourful than norm, with rockeds and invasion stripes, and this one suits the bill perfectly.

It also crashed on my birthday, but years before I was born, (which I found odd). Apparently one of the machine guns was passed down as a family heirloom in Denmark, until confiscated by police, and is now part if the deHavilland Museums collection. 🙂

I assume the OP is referring to Christmas presents?

No kits from my nearest & dearest, but last week, I did pick up a Fw189 and Sturmovik from Nottingham Modelzone, £2.99 each.
My Christmas and birthday presents to myself. 😉

Not sure if this counts as just a kit but i’m getting the Zero part work in 1/16th scale and all metal so its going to be a bit on the large side! I must admit I havn’t even started it yet waiting to get all the bits first. And also I need to get a lot more reference material pics etc before hand.

Italeri 1/48 Hunter F 6/9 and Airfix 1/72 Canberra PR 9, both half-price in local model shop closing down sale.

A late kit present arrived last weekend too, Airfix 1:24 Harrier. 🙂

Kit! I thought you said Kilt! I bought myself a 1/72 Tomahawk and Spitfire Mk1a starter kits from ALDi at $4.99 each.

But first I think a quick build is in order. Revell 1/48 Skyraider from the stash should do nicely.
