Haven’t used the forum much in recent weeks, but seeing the ad’s, I have to say that it doesn’t bother me at all. I read the thread, skipped the ad in the same way I would a post that I have no interest in.

We all use the forum free of charge, the mods work free of charge, so if key can generate a few quid, I see no issue at all.

I’ve done all the above T/O, yet I’m still being bombarded with offers to publish my book, charter a private jet, eat out in Newcastle or even help me with my poetry! 😡
Anybody would think this was an aviation forum…

Seeing ads in between posts on the forum, I hope this isn’t a permanant thing – surely Key Publishing doesn’t need to resort to this?!

You can always ‘try’ and opt out of the ‘Adsense campaign’ via the AdChoices button – but G****e then may throw its toys out of the pram and mess up your settings; you may also need to clear your cookies!!

I agree but you know what they’ll say? If you don’t want ads we’ll have to charge a sub for the Forum!!! Ouch!! You would have thought the group could manage to run a forum without, wouldn’t you?? I am glad I’m not the only one who deeply resents unsolicited selling/advertising.

The way I seem to be suddenly being bombarded with adverts at the top and bottom of every page on this forum. No I don’t want what you’re peddling, if I want to buy something I’ll come to you. It’s as bad as being intercepted in the street and pestered to buy something, another of my pet hates. Now take your adverts and sod off! :(:mad::dev2:

My wife’s alarm clock (radio controlled – supposedly accurate to the second) decided at 02.05 this morning that it was actually 06.05 and woke us up.

Linc – that’s OK – and very natural!! My youngster, who is 9, has just discovered football, so aviation has dropped down the pecking order!!:( And you well know by utter passion for soccer, don’t you?:eek:

The realisation that the passions of the young do not always last as long as you hope they might……….:( And before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion, I am talking about grandsons and aviation!!

S.H. I know, possibly what you mean, my 15yrs old Grandson, was passionate about football, (Chelsey supporter, so no taste there for a start:eek:) Then the other week he went down to the local Park, with his mates to play footie, and……………………………………………………..he met this girl, he is besotted, and footie has gone out of the window, the start of the inevitable rot:D
