ah well, it was my turn…. am “at risk” and will know the details Monday.
You can teach monkies to fly better than that….

Sorry to hear that 🙁 I just wish they would tell people than do this at risk crap..

I worked at a company that were letting people go each Friday it went on for months and we would all wait to hear, they actually let some go then went bust the same night…. We were losing money, BUT when the receivers came in we were MAKING money, in fact several £100,000 a year, the damn owner was skimming it off and using it for his other companies, we even paid for one of those great big mobile horse transporters for his nags, grrrrrrrrrrr we worked out that the company had to fold as they had cut so many of us, even if we worked 24 hours a day 365 days a year we couldn’t generate enough revenue to pay for the hangar and associated bills…

Thank you both ! – she knows Jim, I had to tell her as it has a direct bearing on the kids, the trick will be when I start whatever new job I find, and the school runs etc, she only works P/T so can do school every day, she has offered to “help” and while I will take that in good faith, I can’t help but think a “obviously you can’t cope” suggestion will soon follow – we will see.

BSG-75. I hope Cruella don’t find out if you do, she would no doubt jump for joy.But as Gary said, hope things turn out O.K. and your position is safe.

My girlfriend’s seemingly stunning lapse in memory.

“Did you have a good shift?”

Ummm…. I was out at an event last night until 1am this morning, and then you were talking to me on Facebook at about 11am. So, just when am I meant to have been at work?!

The person or persons who didn’t think to book shifts to various carers before they were posted out this morning.

So, basically, had to do the work TWICE.

Thanks, buttholes.

2 and a bit years per child you kill………. Life’s a bit cheap these days, one can just hope prison justice catches up to them and gives them the sentence they truly deserve, and not the one they received.

The latest cold-call from a Solar Panel company.

I’d rather spend the money on insulating the house, than getting some cowboy coming to the house and making a hash job of fitting rather expensive solar panels.

My thinking is this: Let’s pick an arbitrary number, 10,000 will do. So, it takes 10,000 Joules of energy to heat my house. And let’s say 30% is escaping the house through lack of good insulation. I then fit these fantastic solar panels that generate – arbitrary number – 3,000 Joules. Great, I just need to pay for 7,000 Joules of Electricity/Gas to heat my home. Therefore, my bills go down and everyone is happy. Err no, I’m still loosing 3,000 Joules of energy that I’ve still paid for indirectly through the acquisition cost of the solar panels. Fast forward a year, two, three years and electricity/gas prices have risen again, and again. I’ll be paying what I paid before, still paying off fancy solar panels, and still wasting 3,000 Joules.

Or, am I missing something?

Sorry, rant over…:o

Thanks for that Scott, I think I may well go for that, if only for the quality of the photos it takes is as good as you say.
Cheers.

Not had a lot of problems coverage wise, the phone came with GPS on it and I use that in my car. Only probs had with that it dropped out once near Manchester on the M6, though previous trips north to Carlisle no problems, but for a phone based GPS can’t fault it.
Can get the odd poor signal at work, but that is because I’m in a metal walled hangar so it’s a glorified faraday cage. Step outside it’s fine.
Next phone I’ve been looking at is the Samsung S4 version, which is just out, the S3 looks cool too. Though sadly an iPhone is also a consideration as it will talk to my iPad automatically.

I’d stick to what you have service wise if no prob’s, as you get benefits with time with them.

Thanks Tony, I think your, and Dazes reply have convinced me it’s the one best suited for me.

Thanks for that Scott, I think I may well go for that, if only for the quality of the photos it takes is as good as you say.

Almost giving up on another forum because of the long posts from members writing with no punctuation at all and no capital letters – just line after line of nearly incomprehensible prattle. Surely everyone but everyone understands basic punctuation, don’t they? Or am expecting too much?!!:rolleyes:
