What number next ?

Just wondering where Boeing and Airbus are going with a/c numbering ? Boeing only have 797 left. Airbus are a bit better off still having the option of 360,370 and 390. Do we think that Boeing will go into the 800’s and Airbus into the 400’s ? Might not happen for a while but sooner or later it will if both companys carry on trading.

Eight is considered auspicious in China because its pronunciation in Cantonese sounds the same as the word for to make money.

Do numbers really matter? I thought it was vital before, but come ot think of it, it doesn’t really matter what aircraft number is.

Airbus can also go further than 350, 370 etc. They can go maybe with A312, A313 etc, carrying on from A310.
