I loved the recent ‘Spirit of Old Warden’ photo thread – and “Who Will be Remembered for What”.
Fancy combining the two thoughts by posting a single picture that best sums up for you summer 2005, airshow, air to air, or just bumbling around a hangar?
Here’s my contribution as a starter (I bet Melv will put a pic of his Dearwin in, so I’ll get in first with a pic of the Luton on a fine summers evening – thanks Propstrike!). It’ll be interesting to see what else will appear!

Thanks for the credit, but that fabulous picture was taken by my co-pilot Julie (everyone knows it is too dangerous to fly and take photos at the same time) and she is a stickler for copyright!
Yes, you were way too busy trying to position yourself von Richthofen-style, coming out of the sun. (Although having just read the ‘Red Baron’ thread I might wish to rephrase that!)
Thanks Julie, a great pic!

Probably a shot of the missing man formation done at Ypsilanti by 4 B-17s. As they flew over taps played in the background. Between that, and the drone of 4 17’s going over there was not a dry eye on the field.

It seems to make it easier if you put a “shout out” with your name. 🙂
