what pc games are you playing/going to play

I bought Combat Flight Simulator as a bit of fun a few years ago, stuck it in a cupboard and forgot about it. Then about six months ago I rediscovered it, and I have to confess to having the occaisional chug around in a Spitfire mk 1, attempting to chop down the nasty horrible hun in his yellow snouted Me109E.

My little lad had a go at it for the first time this weekend, and rather frighteningly, he managed to do quite well. Little bu@@er’s only six… :rolleyes:

I’d love a game Nikumba, except I’ve decided to uninstall Zero Hour and Generals tomorrow- it’s sucking up too muich of my time.;)

But, ZH is great; makes an already good game even better.

I dont have it yet, it doesnt come out in teh UK till Friday 26th, but I am looking forward to it, it looks like it will be a good add on pack, but the rumor is that the stuff in Zero hour should have been in the orginal generals game but EA cut it out to use it in the expansion to make more money.

I just hope they dont do a Sims thing with Generals you know releasing a new add on every 6 months or so, that will get really annoying.

You up for a game then google when i get my copy of zero hour?

I like the US Air Force General- love the EMp Patriots, though don’t like the AC-130 Spectre Generals Point as much- hate how it only hits one specific area rather than dishing out damage over a broad area, well good for really damaging that comm. center i guess.

Mostly sims here I’m trying out Linux though so it will be a while before I give Bill Gates little masterpeice the big heave ho. Games I am running are FS2002 and 2004, Strike Fighters and IL2 FB. I am also running Civ3, Medal of Honour. Games to buy? Well I always liked the look of HALO but never had an X-Box (wife wouldn’t let me) so it nice to see it ported to PC. Also LOMAC is on the horizon so that will have to be purchased too. Having said all this I don’t get an awful lot of time to do gaming these days so I can go for months without touching some of them. Nice to have them about though for when I am feeling ‘in the mood’.

I have played Hidden and Dangerous lots of times and loved it to death… the version I have is a little buggy though… I have to play with the sound turned off… really annoying… especially that first mission in the rain next to the river. I also have the add on pack with extra missions and the PPSh-41… nice gun.

Really looking forward to H&D II… hope they don’t ruin it…

The games I am looking forward to most are Half Life 2… the vids look awesome with the realistic physics engine, and there is another game that I can’t remember the name of that is set in Chernobyl where you have a huge area that has been cordoned off and teams of mercs go in looking for weapons and money and alien artifacts… the radiation in the area having effected temporal space or something and created mutant creatures and aliens have been draged from their reality to ours or some such thing. Anyway… it looks like Soviet and Russian new weapon types are standard… that explains my interest… 🙂

I dont play too many PC games, but the ones I do play are Battlefield 1942, it’s great with many friends playing..

and Hitman 2.. i dunno about you guys, but it takes me forever to figure out a strategy for that game.. the first Hitman was hard enough.

I have a PS2 and an XBox myself. The XBox is much better for DVDs I think. What didn’t you like about Halo? Try the game on Legendary mode and tell me you honestly didn’t get real damn irritated with them damn Elites 😀

Actually I wasn’t really all that impressed with HALO.

I don’t have an Xbox, but a few friends do and I wasn’t really all that impressed though the multiplayer was somewhat entertaining.

I don’t have the need for an Xbox though. My GameCube and PlayStation2 are good enough for me.

Halo’s finally porting over to the PC; a little late IMO.
