What Projects Might Emerge In The Near Future?

I guess we have the Beaufighter to look forward to in this country.

Sadly probably not James.. TFC have major problems locating serviceable prop hubs and engines. I spoke to one of their engineers at Dx and he told me they had even investigated digs and recovered hubs from crash sites… but nothing thus far is serviceable.
He also said that if she had a blow-out on landing that would be it, as they have no other mainwheel tyres.

I wonder what will eventually happen to G-DINT, still in storage and unsold?

As above, I would love to see that Black Widow and the Cutlass fly, always admired both designs.
Wasn’t there rumour of an F-105 to fly?

I think that Cutlass is a one-man effort in the US, but last time I read about it, it was coming on at a rate of knots! So yep, it’s certainly a very viable candidate. An amazing looking aeroplane, too.

There are several Cutlass’ of different variants preserved in the US, but this represents the best and possibly only chance of seeing one return to the air. And although it is a massive undertaking the progress that has been made is clear to see.!

The Walrus and P61 will be fantastic.. but personally i would dearly love to see this Vought F7U Cutlass get into the air… if it ever happens.!!

PO2 G-BSSY

The Shuttleworth Collection’s PO2 (G-BSSY) has had its wings returned from being rebuilt.
They are currently being fitted out prior to trial fitting and rigging and then ultimately, covering and painting.

Solent Sky sold it to a new owner (March 2009) whose plans were to fly it in the UK, but I’m not at all sure he was from the US or UK. What a sight it would be, though!!

Yep, been following the Black widow progress for a while, also the B-29 “DOC”, though that still seems a fair way off flying again, not surprising bearing in mind the complexity of a B-29.

Any progress on the FW 200 Condor that fell apart as they pulled it out of the sea ?? I used to get Classik Flugzeug when I lived in Germany & that showed various chunks had been farmed out to different organisations for rebuild to non flight status. The various bit seemed to be progressing but that was 6 years ago.

What happened to the FW 189 ?? Has it been sold yet ??
