What the?????????????

According to the IWM Duxford webpage the Autumn airshow was the last appearence of the LA9 in the UK.
I hope this is not the case, can anyone shed more light on this?

Well you could imagine that it might be going back for the bi-annual show at Wanaka – April 2004.

Good point.
But why go to the trouble of bringing the aircraft over here for just one season only?

The La-9 is (was?) jointly partly owned by the owner of Pioneer Aero Restorations in NZ, who also flies a very nice P-40. Perhaps he is getting some stick time…..

Maybe it’s heading back to New Zealand with the P40 and Corsair?
