What the difference between Imaging Infrared and Infrared Seeker ?

As far as I know, IIR seeker (sometimes it call Thermal Imaging) is different from the color seeker dual IR / UV. So it’s like?

They different in wavelength or spectrum? Infrared imaging can refer to any imaging system that operates in the infrared, which extends from about .7 to 300 microns wavelength. I guess ImIR cooled easier!

The only difference is ImIR can attack every aspect (all-aspect), IR seeker only attack aircraft exhaust tail. IIR seeker has the ability to fight flares, IIR seekers are also less likely to be fooled into locking onto the sun, another common trick for avoiding heat-seeking missiles
