dark light

what the hell is it ????????.

about 8pm last night i was in the garden “playing” with my new digi camara, when looking up at the clear sky i noticed this object. at first i thought it was a large bird very high up as it seemed to be flying in a circle, as well as some strange tumbaling movements. so i used my camara to zoom in on it… this was the result !!!!!. my aircraft reccie is pretty good and to my knowlage it is not a aircraft, it might be a piece of space “junk” but to my eyes enyway it was not falling. after i took a couple of pics of it, i looked down to reveiw them, when i looked up again it had vanished.. so what in Gods name is it… 😮

Maybe they were just shooting Austin Powers-4 in your area?

Flew past something similar a few weeks ago, it turned out to be one of those 14 foot airship like balloons that they sell in the science museum. Looked exactly the same as your pictures and they reach a reasonable altitude.

It must be said that if those are genuinely the product of your new digi-camera – you’ve been had.

My Kodak Brownie 127 used to shoot better pictures than that in 1957.

yes i would admit the photos are not the best, but in my defence it was late in the day and the sun was very low in the sky so light conditions was not very good, also the object was or seemed to be very high up so a high zoom setting was used, and i did just take snap shots at it. i am not a pro photographer of eny kind… no matter how good or bad the photos are its still strange object.. it might be something simple like a balloon, there again it might be something “out of this world”. is it me or does it give off a spooky feeling inside.. i suppose its the fear of the unknown…. you never know next i will be making a giant model of a mountain in my living room… 😀 😀 😀 😉

I recall seeing something similar over Inverness a few years ago whilst on a filming job. A longish white cylindrical, bullet shaped thing was floating/hovering about overhead at something I guessed as being 10,000ft ?

Most of the guys I was working with saw it as well, and by the time I attempted to tilt my camera at it with it’s 75:1 zoom lens (around 700mm equivalent) it had simply vanished…

The floor manager on the job reported a series of small bright lights flying low over the A9 as he drove down the road to Glasgow that evening. He reckoned they were no more than half a mile away and as it was still relatively bright he could see that they weren’t a passing Tornado squadron making for Lossiemouth.

I remember seeing a ufo program about similar flying phenomenon. They were called ‘tubes’ or ‘rods’ but flew around the sky at quite low level in very fast circles, kinda like the way that insects fly . I havn’t found any other info, but i did stumble across this page, with pics and a video…

http://ufocasebook.com/phoenix031306video.html

edit: Just looked up info on Rods and they appear to be a hoax. I am so gullable. 😮

You should know better than that Moggy!!! Don’t you know that all UFO pics are blurry, aliens always abduct people from quiey country lanes and abductees never bring back a peice of alien evidence…;-)

This is the BAe stealth fighter project. As you can see, the plane itself is invisible to both radar and optics. However, because of contractural issues, BAe were unable to apply their new stealth technology on their American made litening pods.
