Dear all!
I would be most interested in obtaining confirmation about the type – and possibly individual identity – of the fuselage in the following photo.
I took the photo in the late summer of 1988 in the defunct Weeks Air Museum at Miami, Fl. (USA).
A forumite in the German “Flugzeugforum” has made a very credible identification based on “looks” only – but I haven’t been able to confirm this with any list of displayed aircraft of the Weeks Air Museum or the like.
But perhaps someone in THIS forum has a suitable source or can identify it based on a personal visit in this museum (which was destroyed by hurricane Andrew in 1989/90 or so…)
Thanks in advance for any help
Thomas

Take a look at this page: http://pioneerflightmuseum.org/news/index.shtml
Everything seems to match.
Thanks for the link – very interesting. I agree to your your opinion (which also matches the one quoted from FLUGZEUGFORUM, as you might have guessed from the photo’s file name…)
Nevertheless I would appreciate positive confirmation that Kermit Weeks had an S-4 (BEFORE relocating to Polk City, NOW one is quoted to be part of his Fantasy of Flight collection). And a serial/constructor’s number would be just great…
Regards from Germany,
Thomas

I strongly suspect it’s a Thomas Morse Scout.
