And the 757 went for £155!!

Whatever it is, it wasn’t worth anywhere near the winning bid of £113.
Yes it was, because that is what the buyer was willing to pay for it. It might be the only one in the world and therefore unique. 😀

That’s the jet Brasilia concept – the early design studies involving stretching and re-engining the EMB-120 with jets, forerunner to what became the EMB-145

The T-tail was originally proposed for the 757 when it was being based more heavily on the 727 before major changes to the design. The earlier aircraft is the original proposal for the Embraer RJ family (if I remeber rightly) before the engines were moved tot he back it was ocnsidered that it would be a stretch of the Brasilia (EMB-120) but re-engined with jets. Again it was modified into what we know now.

I’d say it’s an early embraer design, that was used for promotion.

The cockpitwindows are not Jetstream-like. They are more like the Embraer. Note that the engines are not jet engines. Jet engines have a hole on both sides, the model only at the front where the prop would be located. Perhaps this was a further development of the Embraer 120 turbo prop? Would be a large stretch with winglets added.
Definately interesting.

I’ve seen the design before…I believe it’s a design proposal for what became the Embraer Regional Jet.

Certainly not an Airbus as they are saying!
Very large engines for an aircraft like that though.

Hmmmm very interesting! 😀
Tis a fantasty model I think, looks like a Saab 2000 with jet engines but with a fuselage similer to the ERJ-145 and with winglets! must say though that is the first time I’ve seen that.
