What was flying over Caithness last night?

I saw a grey, T tailed aircraft (VC10?) flying over Wick Airport last night. It made a good few low passes. Ive not seen much here since they stopped the lovely Nimrods. Great to see, but what was it? I thought theyd stopped the VC10’s?? Help…..

Meh, you don’t need any propellor driven aircraft with all them luverly wind turbines…

Many more and Caithness could become the first airworthy county in Scotland 😉

Awaiting certification as we speak Bob!!!!:dev2:

Thanks Dave. Confused the hell out of me! Never saw one up here before tho. Still, looked and sounded great. All we need now is the sweet sound of Merlins. Never happen tho. 🙁

VC10s are still in service until next year as tankers – only transport ops stopped last week.
