What was your first flight?

Do any of you remember your first flight….the registration number and the a/c type?? My first flight was on a Do 228 of Vayadut Airlines(used to be a part of IA). But the first flight i remember of mine was on Royal Nepal from Delhi to Kathmandu and the reg. was 9N-ACA. The second flight which soon after followed was on BAe 146 of Druk Air(I have pics of it…i’ll scan it for you guys). When i came back from Thimpu back to Delhi and got off the a/c…..that was the first time i saw a Concorde. It was standing right next to my BAe 146.

Honestly couldn’t tell you. I’ve been on overseas holidays every year since the year I was born and have accumulated a few miles, but as for the first flight, I haven’t the foggiest.

My first flight was in the early ’80s, in a Wideroe DHC-6 Twin Otter, going from Andoy (ENAN) to Narvik, both in Norway. We were picking up my dads new car, so it was a long and boring drive back.
That flight sparked a love for the ol’ Twotter that is still here to this day, so to see them fly here every day is great!!!

My first flight on the controls was in a Tiger Moth at Duxford, 2000.

MAN-TFS on Britannia (1990), I was only about one or thereabouts. Probably was a B757 but I really cannot remember. I always remember that they gave out a newspaper type thing for kids that had a picture of the B757 flightdeck on the front cover.

Like most of the under 25s on the forums, an IT Charter flight, my first was on a Britannia B732 – the only 2 flights i dont have reggies for, mind you I was only 4!

I may be an exception to this then. Deutsche BA, SAAB 2000 LGW – BRE. Fantastic little aircraft, people say they are noisy, but I don’t remember that to be the case. I think Sept 1996.

Mine was GLA to LHR in 1973 on a BA Trident 3. Back a week later on a BAC 1-11. According to my parents it was on one of these flights that I first said I wanted to be Cabin Crew.

1L.

ps: Speedbird 12T, I think your Dash 8 would have been a CityFlyer ATR 42 or 72.

My first flight was during the summer of 1980, I was seven years old. Aircraft type was Air Inter A300 flying from Paris Orly to Marseille. I just remember being in complete awe as I never thought that something that big could get off the ground. I’ve been hooked eversince.

KLM DC-9 PH-DNL on Oct 19, 1972, AMS to MAL. We had an aborted take off due to an engine problem, made it back to the gates and departed 1 1/2 hrs later after repairs. BW Roger
