These two photos were taken about fifteen years ago, but sadly I neglected to note what, where and when at the time. Possibly taken on an old Flypast Historic Forum group visit to a museum.
Can anyone fill in the details please?

Pleased to have helped to provide some confirmation – over the years Newark organised a variety of similar open cockpit events. Until Covid this moved onto a more regular basis with a team of volunteer cockpit openers forming part of the museum’s mainstream offer. You can glean a few more details in here.

Picking up on another thread and perhaps someone who participated in that visit before Christmas I was in contact with JDK who pointed me in the direction to help save the Warbirds Worldwide Archive material.

Many thanks for your response. The person in the photos is me, and as far as I can remember it was some sort of ‘open cockpit’ pass that we had. I also had it in mind that it might be Newark, but wasn’t at all sure.
Just to show how bad my memory is on this, for a long time I’ve thought that the first photo was the Vulcan too. I can remember being in the Vulcan cockpit, and getting in/out, but have no other memories of the visit.
I think the visit was organised on the old forum, but I can’t remember who else was on the trip. Would be nice to see some more photos from whoever else was there, but I guess none of the others are around here any more.
Cheers

I would suggest that they were taken at Newark Air Museum – the first looks to be in the Argosy Procedures Trainer and the second in Vulcan XM594.
The person in the second photo seems to be wearing a badge that has a museum logo on it – perhaps given out to allow cockpit access to the exhibits!
