Hello guys and gals 🙂
As you may already be aware, BA is to retire Concorde later this year (for the latest on the BBC website see here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2934257.stm )
Now my question is…when Concorde retires, what will be the fate of the seven aircraft? Will another operator take them on? Will they be going to Museums? (Bearing in mind that there are already two on display in this country at Duxford and the FAA Museum) Or will they end up being scrapped (this I would hate to see as I do think they are beautiful, majestic birds :))

As i understood it – a story apparently goes that Branson was quite keen on the idea but has been told NO!. They wouldn’t want him making a profit on them, when they claim they can’t, by flying to locations other than New York etc..
Queen to have one is a fine idea Moggy – which would you choose? 🙂 G-BOAC??
As with Museums – Cosford could have one surely? What about East Fortune, Manchester and the new expansions at Liverpool (didn’t they get a few prototypes from BAE recently?) Personnaly i wouldn’t mind 2 at Duxford either. They would be different no? Pre-Production G-AXDN and then say G-BOAA for a service model.

Nope…they will be donated to Iraqi Airways!
On a serious note they will probably go to some museums…..some will be in permanent storage, all i know is none of them will be scrapped…thats for sure. Wont u like one in front of Duxford Ashley!:D

Ryan Air could buy them. That’d be great.
London – Paris £2 return – a pound a minute! Whoopee!
Or they could turn them into restaurants – the Concorde restaurant chain. Man, that would really pay well. Have air-hostess uniform clad waitresses. (The B&B option would suck though – but the 6 foot high club evenings may pay well too!)
