What would a Scottish Air Force be like ?

This is a purely hypothetical question, without wishing to venture into the area of the political arguments for or against Scottish independence, but what might a Scottish Air Force be like ?
Would it be like a scaled down RAF along the lines of the Norwegian or Danish air forces or something more modest along the lines of the Irish Air Corps or the smaller European air forces, e.g. Slovenia ?
What would a Scottish Air Force need to do ? Oil and fishery protection, SAR, training, army support and peacekeeping are five roles which it would probably undertake.
Any thoughts ?
