Well it’s a few months to the end of the year and next year is promising many new aircraft taking there first flight.
So what does everyone hope to see fly in 2013?

An admirable wish list, but can we have a Buccaneer doing what a Buccaneer does best.
Love to see again a Buccaneer at about hedge height trailing an environmentally friendly smoke trail, or let’s be greedy, all three from Brunty beating up the unwary.

Apparently the photograph that I posted was taken in 1979. I hate to think what the succeeding 33 years have done to the airframe. Does anyone know?

Hi Snoopy
The Arden family certainly could do with a reality check, otherwise the AL1 & others, will rot to nothing.

Reality-Check.
I think a similar engine sold recently in the States for about £1k……:)

Surrey Flying Services AL.1 G-AALP – if either the Arden Family Trust decides to do it themselves or releases it to someone else for the purpose, before eventually it crumbles into oblivion. Below was its condition in the most recent photograph that I have seen. Does anyone have images or information that is more uptodate?
Unfortunately the family seem to believe that as she is the only one ever made, she is worth a fortune, even in her current condition. They also seem to think a knackered, corroded Cirrus minor engine is worth £20,000+ “or at least they said that they had been offered that for one”, & that was about 10+ years ago, so as the Cirrus will now be even older & more knackered, it must be worth at least £40,000.

I would like to hear a little more about the D.H 4 projects underway in the U.S especially the TVAL example.

I wonder if the DH 9 will fly much due to the reliability of the Puma powerplant,
I hope it flies a little more than the Bristol Fighter did. 🙁

Keeping things realistic, I’d like to see the Vulcan, Sea Vixen and Canberra flying in 2013; and all three in formation would be a huge bonus. 😎

I know this thread is for 2013, but I found Spitfire IX RR232 in the Aerial Museum hangar at Filton today, and it is expected to fly very soon. As the airfield closes on 21st December 2012, that means it must be within the next month. I say ‘found’, I didn’t know it was here, and thought it was still in Exeter. It was looking very good, in primer.

That is interesting, keep us posted on further developments please. Thanks
