The Alicante DC3/C47s?…..they were parked east of the terminal for over fifteen years, and then, a couple of years ago, were gone.
Anyone know?

Fly Vintage the sequel
Well, as promised, I have started updating Fly Vintage again (along with revamping it…). Also, please take a look at a new site of mine Air Days.
Suggestions/bug reports/ideas are welcome 🙂
Cheers, Ben

Not gonna get in a big row over this…it’s just a website and when he gets time, he gets time….I know Mike and I don’t maintain www.f4ucorsair.com half as much as we’d like to with updates and such, so I know how it gets….Ben, when you get to it, great….I’ll keep checking…and maybe take a peek at Duxford times also.

Problem, Hatton?
Well yes in this particular circumstance, this chap has put in a lot of time and effort to provide this site for the use and enjoyment of other people. To say that he is slacking is pretty rude really, its not as if he has to do it at all.
best regards, steve

I’m alive and well – but been very busy these days (family life takes priority over warbirds…). I do plan to resurrect Fly Vintage, but I can only do that as and when I get the time…
Cheers, Ben

I preferred Duxford Times, i’ve never believed FlyVintage to be anywhere near as good.

Hmmmm….sounds like he’s slacking on BOTH websites to me….maybe needs to close down FlyVintage and just concentrate on the other one….?
M

I believe he maintains the Fighter Collections website too and that hasn’t been updated for sometime now.
The Duxford Update website has in my view replaced what Ben used to have with The Duxford Times. I felt that was a much better site than the newer Flyvintage.

Dakota EC-CPO has moved to Malaga and is under restoration for display at the airport. The other machine is believed to be still at Alicante but nearer the fire section.
Thanks…it may be well hidden, but there are no Dakotas obviously on the airport at Alicante. As for EC-CPO, the visible marks on these two were EC-BUG & EC-AQB (these pics depict the latter)……are we talking about the same machines?
