When I was a boy the IWM Lambeth did an Escape from Colditz exhibition. One of the dummies was modelled on david Macullum, who appeared in the TV show “Escape from Colditz”.
For many years I would delight in seeking out this manakin dressed in a variety of costumes, pilot, diver, German officer with a shout of “It’s David!”.
Very disapointed that since the improved IWM David has dissapeard.
So the question is, what happened to David?

Munnst…it’s funny you should mention this…last year a male dummy was cleared out of the Department of Exhibits (it was looking very tattered and of no real display use)…after being used for a few practical jokes, it eventually ended up in the skip…I wonder if this was the “David” dummy you remember?!? 😉
