whatever happened to WAMs meteor??

Does anyone know the fate of the Meteor F.8 formally at Wales Aircraft Museum-rumour has it,it ended up on a range somewhere:eek:

Not really ! A number of airframes survived because of their actions – examples that spring to mind include the Ashton fuselage at Newark – the nose of Vulcan XA903

…. plus the de Havilland Sea Venom FAW.21 WW217 also at Newark and a National Benchmark airframe on the National Aviation Heritage Register.:)

Has anyone got any photo’s of this Meteor please

There was/is a Meteor F.8 on the ATE ranges in South Wales along with the mortal remains of a Canberra B.6

IF anybody has a photo/photo’s of the Meteor F8 at Sennybridge,Wales,can you please let me know.:D

Do you mean “WE925” (which believed a composite with parts of VZ530). It reportedly moved to Bankstown, Australia to International Air Parts and was preserved.
