There was an airworthy Hurricane at Chino a few years back i have picture of it somewhere.
But 7 flying Hurricanes what a fantastic sight that would make.

It was featured in one of the two UK magazines, in response to a listing of all Hurricanes currently surviving. The fact that this particular Hurri wasn’t on the list prompted a full article in the following issue. If I remember correctly, the chap had visited a deceased estate sale of an elderly doctor and come away with a 40’s first aid bag for inclusion in the restoration.

Although not airworthy, there was a chap restoring a Hurri in his garden shed, and was being meticulous in his search for original parts. Is it finished, does anyone know?
I think you will find there are several…..!
Including this one.

Shame that BG974 N68RW of Lone Star Flight Museum is not on the list of flyable Hurricanes. First it gets it’s tail chewed off by a Spitfire and then submerged in salt water during the flood.
Wonder how it’s restoration is going.

I thought about this and got the six UK examples, and was going to add the New Zealand and Canadian ones as well. A quick google to confirm a serial tie up produced the following link to Wikipedia, which look good enough to me.

I do like that Med theatre schemed Hurri, I didn’t realise there was anything like seven airworthy Hurricanes about, and was amazed to see three at Cosford.
Can you list all the airworthy Hurricanes?
