Just seen on the News, Food Charity “Shops” have trebeld in the last year, and new ones are opening at the rate of 3 a day. Folks who are at work cannot afford to eat.The unemployed whoes benefits have been cut etc.
So why the hell are we giving Overseas Aid to other Countries?.Once we used to lead, and others followed, now it’s the other way around.

Yes down the ruddy pan with our money!
Tell me how long and to whom our responsibility is and lasts to Commonweath and non Commonweath Countries.
Don’t give me that old rubbish about the fact that we raped these counties of their wealth decades or centuries ago. Its about time they got off their backsides and worked,just as this country had two at the end of WW2 when we were just about bankrupt!

What i can’t get my head around is that there are millions looking for work and on benefits,yet those of us at work are working longer hours for less money in real terms after inflation.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to afford to retire younger thus giving youngsters starting off in the world a chance to learn and earn and pay taxes.

Jim I can’t answer you other than to say charity begins at home. I am feed up to the back teeth with adds on TV saying “give little Boko £2.00 a month or he will starve/die from dirty water” and all the rest. Tough hard as it seems let him die their are to many people in the world anyway. Keep him alive and the problem will just get bigger.
The above quote is from my next door neighbour who is Nigerian. He also says they do not get the aid it ends up in peoples pockets who syphon it off.
Guess which Country is sitting on vast oil reserves that would improve the lot of their citizens?, yep Nigeria!
