Whats happened to the Santa Monica MOF?

Did David Price go bust or just got bored with his collection?

Whats been sold?

Any chance TFC will snap up the 109E?

RE: Whats happened to the Santa Monica MOF?

I would love to see the 109E brought over here…guys and gals, remember the days of the Battle of Britain ‘dog-fights’ at airshows in the 1980s and 1990s…Mark Hanna “buzzing” Duxford followed by a lively pursuit by Spits and Hurricanes resulting in the ‘intruder’ skulking off back ‘home’?

Those were the days…

Mark…we miss you

RE: Whats happened to the Santa Monica MOF?

this was posted on the chino museum board

“Most of the aircraft at Santa Monica were on loan, and have gone back to their owners. I understand that the few aircraft that are actually owned by the museum have gone into storage at Fox Field in Lancaster, CA”

RE: Whats happened to the Santa Monica MOF?

Some of Mr Price’s Golf Companies have had some financial difficulties, causing the Museum to be closed and many of the aircraft are for sale. I’m not sure what is going to happen to the CAF a/c he sponsers (Zero + F6F Hellcat). The Bf-109 and the Hurricane are for sale through Bob Hannah. Info on these birds can be found at http://www.bobhannah.com….
Now if I could only win the Lotto….
