What's missing?

This photo on planepictures.net has a description ‘Something is missing’. I’ve been scanning it for ages trying to work out what, and still no joy, please can someone put me out of my misery?! 😀

I wouldn’t have known that. The aircraft looked ok to me.

So, HP81 and Sandy were right 😀 Go back to the photo and see what the photographer replied. 🙂

The port outermost flap fairing/”carrot” seems to be missing, though I suspect it is simply hidden by the glare from the landing light…?)

The landing light is built into the ‘carrot’, so you are pretty much spot on!

Maybe the aircrafts own nosecone? (off colour?)

I asked the author of the picture so lets see if they reply. You normally switch the taxi (nosewheel) light on once you turn off the runway and do the after landing checks.

Should the nose wheel light be on also?

Right hand outboard landing light.
You can see it’s still tucked away in flight mode and not on.

Or just a ruse to get more ‘hits’.

Well they could be referring to the cockpit eyebrow windows, but they appear to have been blanked off in 2008 when the aircraft was painted in Jet2 colours. Or it could be that they have spotted that the r/h landing light is inoperative. Otherwise I don’t know.
