What's the busiest airport in the world?

Atlanta here, Heathrow there and Chicago somewhere. There are a lot of sources that give different busiest airports. Now, which one is it???!

Think about it, LHR has flights coming in from all over the world. Regularly used as a stop off by asian airlines before continueing across the atlantic.

I think its safe to say LHR is the world busiest for International traffic.

Isn’t ORD the airport with the most runways? It has nine runways!
A return journey counts as two passengers.

The top 2 airports in the U.S. in terms of Intl traffic are probably JFK and ORD, with LAX not too far behind.

You know , the domestic traffic in the US is similar to the intra-european traffic for US.
I guess if you remove the european traffic from LHR , you end with the same figures.

Atlanta is the world buisest airport, but Heathrow is the worlds Buisiest international airport.

rember Atlanta is Delta main hub, and in the us there is a lot bigger domestic travel, but if you were to take all the domestic flights away from Atlanta or Chicago, then they would drop right down the list,
