What's the hardest topic in university?

What is the hardest topic in university? I don’t mean major, I mean specific topic. For me, it was a course on algorithm design and analysis. I spent several hours every day studying it and I still barely managed to pull through with a C. The average on the final exam was around 40%. But being a comp-sci student I never took any advanced math or engineering courses, I imagine they would be really hard too. What does everyone think is the most difficult subject?

I kinda agree. However I’m not objective since I liked Algorithm as much as I hated thermodynamics.

I would think algorithm design would be the base of programming. A programmer friend I have says that the book “Introduction to Algorithms” by MIT press is necessary reading for anyone wanting to learn to program.

Shouldn’t that be sobriety in students in general? 😀
