As Mark said, this is a hangar that was used at quite a few stations in the U.S. during WWII. In fact, just last week we were very near one of these that is still in use at the former Sioux City Army Air Field in Iowa. This structure was usually referred to as a “sub-depot” hangar at CONUS bomber training stations.

Apart from looking a good bit longer I have seen similar lean to attachments on RAF Hangars, I am certain I have also seen similar doors on some RAF hangars too.

It bears great resemblance to the US built “Butler” transportable hangar of WW2.

The elements that support that are:

1. The style of the doors and overall ratio of height/length/width
2. the Office and Toilet skillion attachment along the length of the building wall

the missing elements are the windows along the main side wall, but I suspect they may have well been subsequently sheeted over?

We had these in Australia and one still survives (although again relocated and modified from its original site at CAC in Port Melbourne) at Tyabb airport in Victoria)

The attachment has a picture of that building for comparison.

Obviously a WWll hangar and probably used by the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The military ceased using the airport in 1964. The hangar is now used by Glanford Aviation.
