What's wrong with the Ching-Kuo airplane?

Does Taiwan have some kind of no export policy? Would China get angry if they did export it? When the Ching-Kuo first came out, it definitely had a good timing and advantage to go compete for light fighter aircraft well before the advent of the LCA, FC-1, Mako, or Golden Eagle.. I wonder why it wasn’t exported (or if they did try it), why it wasn’t a hit outside.
