You see loads of nice mouse mat designs with aircraft and other photos on, does anyone have a mouse mat with a nice picture, if so what is it? My PC came with an awful grey one, and I had to wait until I went to London to get one with the London Underground map on. I’m thinking of getting another, but nowhere sells them where I live.

Currently using the back of an envelope, to protect the dining-table surface from my optical mouse.
My favourite mouse mat is black with glitter on and made of heat-sensitive LCD stuff that changes colour with temperature 🙂

I too have an optical mouse, but I’ve always used mousemats in the past, and I’ve got into the habit I suppose.

I have one here at work in the shape of a Sheffield Wednesday shirt, and one resembling a pint of Guinness at home.

I have an optical mouse myself, but if I dont use my placemat, the palm of my hand quickly starts hurting due to the hard surface of my desk. I miss using webtv where I could sit on the couch and web surf with my wireless keyboard. If they ever start making 27″ monitors Ill go back to doing that again.

Made of wood and about 5′ x 2′.
ie my desk, don’t use a mat as I gave the ‘ball’ up about a year ago and gone optical. 😀

Grey fabric, full of fag ash and bits of baccy.
This clogs up mice with monotonous regularity so I’ve now got an optical cordless one as well.

I use a trackball type. Much nicer, and no need for any space.

I use a table placemat for a mouse pad. I found normal mousepads are too small for the large amount of movement I need in shooter games. Also normal mouse pads are made of a foam material that is absorbant and gets very dirty with my hand resting on it all day (I live in a hot climate) , so the hard rubber surface of my placemat feels alot better. Incidently my placemat has a picture of winnie the poo and tiger on it, but I use the backside so you only see a cream colored surface that matches my keyboard, monitor and tower.
