Wheel Hub Pt No AH 8379 Ident Required

Have found a pretty corroded wheel hub found on a cart with the Pt No AH 8379 and tyre size 32x10x15 fitted. Have read on some previous threads that this Pt No superceded AH 8028.
The valve hole is on one of the four spokes.
Anyone have knowledge of which aircraft this type of wheel fitted to.

Nice finds.

The Tail Wheel and main wheel would look good restored to static condition and if you have tyres for both, even better. Go back to other threads in here on Dunlop AH wheel finds and you can see what can be done. Glad to be able to assist.

Thanks WV and dc for the info. I have recently picked up a Sea Fury tailwheel so will pair it with that under the assumption it came from a Sea Fury.

Hi Nimgen,
Your Wheel Hub :- AH 8379 is off either:- A Sea Hornet–Sea Fury- Meteor– or FireBrand TF/1V. It’s a main wheel and according to my Dunlop list tyre sizes you also quote ( 32″x10″x15″ ) match exactly. I don’t know which MKs. of Meteor these hubs fitted but the Tyre size fits other Meteors too ie:- T7–F8–u15-TT20. So I would assume that it would be earlier Meteors.

Main Wheel hubs AH 8208 were fitted to the (Normal) Hornet.and these were tyre sizes:- 30″x9″x15″. Hope this helps.
