When is Princess Liz departing?

Drove past DX this morning and their was a crane ( the sort they usually use to load /unload containers) outside the TFC hangar – is Princess Liz departing or is it the P-40 B arriving or is just a random crane on other duties???

Anyone in the know?

Will she (P.E.) be gone by Legends?

There’s more ins and outs at the fighter collection then there is at west ham!!

shame to see it go but not really surprised as the TF51 is due over this year ( although its gone a little bit quiet on this one!). i wonder if they have another Hurri waiting in the wings somewhere as well?

Ohhh I know, it’s terrible to have to see the same old bubble canopied Mustangs eveywhere, I keep tripping over them…..

Anyway, shame to see the 51C go, never did get to see it in one piece.

Well we do have a certain Mustang being rebuilt that i think you may know something about that will be nice :p 😀 😀

Yes its sad to loose her but there is some very nice aeroplanes being rebuilt for TFC now. Let me think Gladiator, CR42, P47, P40B, 2x Spitfires. And maybe that Sea Fury one day. Maybe the ‘bent’ Spitfire and the La11.

I still love the 1983 article in FlyPast on her build and origins. She was described for a while as a ‘B’ and certainly the large majority of her is but
that affects her certification in the U.S.

How lucky was I ?!

One of the last lucky souls…

A BIG thank you to the chaps at TFC for the invitation to sit in PE the other weekend. I’ve still got the smile on my face…very cheesy.

Sad to see her go….

Ok, my digi camera isn’t very good, but these were taken at about 13:00 today, the crane however seemed to be doing very little and there was no-one about, and nowhere to put it. Why has this a/c appeared to have been so unpopular, sad to see it go.

Great, the file size is too big, what do I now, pics of the event and I can’t publish.

Just use a photo program and resize the pics until they reach about 1mb in file size then they should be ok.

I can honestly say this aircraft is FAR from unpopular it was always great to see a change to the same bubble canopied mustangs that we have around.

I will be sad to see her go but have some fond memories of her time here.
