I have seen so many camouflage schemes for the aircrafts that I have started wondering as to how useful these are in today’s combat environment. F-16’s with dull grey to something as un-usual as the camo patterns on the Thai F-16’s.
The camo patterns for the fighters/choppers and fixed wing transport aircraft have all seen changes since the Vietnam war. With the bottle green being replaced with dull grery to schemes of ghost grey..
I am starting this thread to collect the information about the R&D that is done in this area by various Air Forces. It cannot be just an off the shelf paint can handed over to an amatuer.
Would like to know about the Patterns… the Colors…. the applying methods.. the advantages/disadvantages… the maintenance required for these etc… etc..
