Where are you flying Sunday?

Belated I know, but there’s a fly-in at my strip on Sunday (July 4)

It’s been discussed in another place, and at least one of you is headed our way, but this is an official invite that any contributors here would be welcome.

London Knettishall International is in the Mildenhall / Lakenheath/ Honington CMATZ on the Norfolk / Suffolk border.

An easy strip to find and land on posing no particular problems for even low hours or rusty pilots. 800+ metres of grass smooth enough for a retractable PA28 to be based and clear enough approaches for a B17 (Not surprisingly). Shouldn’t be massive amounts of visitors so traffic conflict on a non-radio field isn’t a big issue.

Interested? E-mail me on moggy(atsign)sandrapritchard(dot)com for a more detailed briefing.

I’ll only be there in the morning.

Moggy

It should only be about an hour and a bit from Wolverhampton Intergalactic Spaceport (hint)

I went to the St Inglevert Fly In near Calais, then N.Weald, Turweston and Leicester. It was a drag.
🙂

Obviously………!

Thanks Moggy, I would like to pop over at some point, possibly in a couple of weeks if that’s ok.

Cheers

A good day.

Lots of flying chums and some historics. Pity you couldn’t make it Y11F. You are welcome any time, just drop me a message if you are coming and I’ll formalise the PPR and probably meet you down there.

Moggy

Below we have the legendary 2D on finals, a P51 on run and break and a T6 on fly-by

Best laid plans and all that…. Mrs Yak11Fan was not well this weekend so I got to stay in and look after her. However according to reports received this evening the strip is not only long enough for a PA28 but also a P51D, as I understand it the first time a P51 has been to Knettishall since the war. Sounds as though it was a good day.

I’m still intending to be there in the 172, I understand that one of the more vintage types from Hardwick will also be dropping in at some point just to scare the neighbours, weather permitting of course.

Unfortunately I’ve only got Sierra Fox for an hour tomorrow morning, and she’s then fully booked for Sunday, else I’d have been tempted to do my first post PPL land away. However, I’ll be driving over to Rickinghall on Sunday anyway, so might drop by to say hi briefly.
