Where can I buy coffee bags?

Okay, time to ask everyone a really inane question!

I like to make my coffee with bags – like tea bags, but with coffee grinds. I prefer filter coffee, but cleaning out the cafetierre is a major drag for a lazy git like me. And I really try to avoid instant coffee wherever I can. Nescafe….urgh.

Trouble is….I can’t find any bags in the shops. No one I have spoken too seems to know what I mean.

Help!!!

Mongu’s now considers himself sophisticated.

When they get running water and electricity in Manx Land he’ll be well away, for now he’ll have to make do with chewing the bags.

Thanks for the offer Keltic, but I found some this afternoon. The make is “Lyons”. I bought 15 of them, which should last ages – I think the checkout girl gave me a funny look for buying so much coffee!

I´ll ask in that shop over here for you, and if so, I´ll send you a packet. Ok?

That’s right, they’re installing electricity next year. Yippee!

Let’s face they’ve only just dragging themselves into the 20th century in the Isle of Man, don’t expect them to be as advance as coffee making machines.

I came across them in a hotel room in New York, about 8 years ago. Tesco used to sell them, but they seem to have stopped.

I tried a Google search, but to no avail. “Coffee Bag” only got me empty bags for retailers to put their own coffee into.

Trust me, they are far more civilised than instant coffee!

Tried any specialist shops catering in tea and coffee products? To be honest I have never heard of them, must look in the supermarket next time I go :p
