Where to watch Concorde at Heathrow.

I plan to go to Heathrow on Thursday to see Concorde depart to Cardiff.

Where would be the best place to watch. All help will be much appreciated.

Thanks Futurshox & Firebird,

I’m sure the dedicated LHR spotters will offer better advice, I only work there…;)
But, weather forecast for Thursday at the moment is a return to easterley winds, so it’ll depend on what runway she takes off from. If it’s the north then the best place would be to use the grandstand erected infront of the visiter centre (VIP only on Friday, public use up to then) but if it’s the southern runway (as yesterday to go to BMX) then somewhere around Hatton Cross station or across the A30 in Myrtle Ave……
Don’t assume that she take off from the southern just because everything else is take off from that runway. On Sunday eve, the take-off runway was the southern and Concorde took off from the northern, which really hacked off the hundreds if not thousands of joe-public (those without without airband…) congregating around Hatton Cross for the departure to New York…
