I presume I’d need a Class 1 HGV licence – If I could afford it in the first place.

I live close enough to the Taskers factory site so that the Queen Mary trailer would have been coming home.

Nope, the Dutch owner has had the T-6 for years – we supplied the prop – also helped old Benno with the paint scheme – its that (sort of) of a hack from Raydon….
Nice project – bonkers price!

If used unladen it would be exempt from testing, would qualify for free, historic tax and could be driven on a pre 1997 B cat driving licence. If you carry anything in the trailer, it would all have to be plated and tested, would need to be taxed private HGV, assuming used privately only and you would need a C+E, the old HGV1 to drive it.
Oh Pooh that counts that out then !!!!:diablo::diablo::diablo::diablo:

Not sure on that one there ha sbeen a lot of changes BUT at one time if the tractor unit was under a certain weight there was a loop hole on licensing. But I think it might have been changed as I know the Landrovers used by Racetech to move starting gates are HG1 with Tacho’s.
I can see the dreaded how heavy is your trailer thread raising its ugly head again so I wont say anymore.:diablo::diablo::diablo:

Looks very nice thats about £38,000 I think off the top of my head.Like the trailer is the Texan the one that was on evil bay about 18 months ago needed to be moved of an airfield pretty quick or was that a different one ?.
Definately an eye opener at Cockpit fest. Anyone want to buy the Harvard I could use the transporter and unit to move Spits !!!!!
