Two are Kings Crown Buttons and the other two are Queens Crown the smaller shaped one is the Kings from the reign of George V1 one of the other items is an officers whistle from WW1

On RAF uniforms the high domed crowns are “Kings Crowns” and the ones slightly dipped in the centre are “Queens Crowns”, ie issued in the reigns of a male or female monarch. There are only male crowns present in the picture and I agree the cresent one is likely to be Egyptian.

Well spotted WL, I was quite wrong in assuming it was an RAF one.

Possibly, the detail on the crown looks different

Jordan might be a possibility

Good find. The close up at the lower right shows the uniform button, and although different in most details, heraldically speaking it’s the same crown – i.e. all the details as you would describe them are of the same form. I’d presume the star in a crescent item would also be an exclusive symbol. Looks like the Egyptian one to me!

Button

If you look closely you will see that the button has a crescent with a star within, now as I bought it in Cairo I suspect it could be Egyptian air force from King Farouks days.
Acme whistles are still made and if you google them they have an interesting history!!!!

May I suggest Royal Netherlands Air Force, the crown looks familiar to that used by the Dutch royal family

Looks like the different crowns relating to the different monarchs during their reigns.

Aren’t they all RAF buttons, just different timescales, hence the different crowns?
