i found it from a PAkistan air force site.can some body tell me about the history and name of aircraft

Nearly the right one at Newark TT but not quite – NAM’s National Benchmark listed Prentice is VR249 and as you correctly noted it wears the Cranwell codes FA-EL; still a nice depiction of the type above the RAF College Cranwell. 🙂

One of the aircraft depicted in the painting is now preserved at the Newark Air Museum (not sure of the serial number) or at least an ex-Cranwell aircaft is. The Percival Prentice was an interesting aircraft I understand, being rather like an arthritic caravan to fly! The idea of having a student sitting behind the instructor and student being taught never really caught on either.

The aircraft are coded for 19 SFTS/FTS of the RAF College as well.
