Chaps,
Just a quick query – does anyone know which compass goes in a Blenheim or Bolingbroke cockpit? I have a feeling its a P8 or P11, but I can’t find anything definitive at the moment. I have 6A/24 as the code but that doesn’t sound right.
cheers,
Andy

P4 diameter approx. 7 1/4″, P6 (would have been the contemporaneous type) 5 3/8″.
In deciding on the P4, I took into account the apparent diameter of the Turn and Slip Indicator and compared it to the apparent diameter of the compass. The compass looks much bigger than the 4 3/8″ diameter of the T&S.
See what I mean?

Thanks for that AM, I’m surprised it would a P4, but I trust your judgement! One more question – is there a difference in size between the P4 and the P8?

All my Blenheim cockpit photographs seem to show a P4 compass, Stores Ref. 6A/227.
