D’assault baguette has an awesome history of doing it alone, all the way from the first to fourth gen modern aircraft. will they make a manned follow on to the Rafale?
Will the British do something? While they haven’t produced something on their own in a while, research wise they got closer with the BAe Replica and are a 1st tier partner for the F-35
Underdog
Italy, don’t count them out
Germans.. they seem to have a history of undermining projects. see Typhoon and NH90
Turkey (if you count them as European), seems to be the only one actively producing a 5th gen aircraft. But with the country turning Islamic and anti-EU/US, can’t see the tech transfers going.
