I’ve got computers and a digital camera. I only use a ‘phone to talk to people.
I’ve got an old Motorola 3788 on T-Mobile pay-as-you-go and a Nokia 3410 on O2 pay up front for life. I think the Nokia’s got games and a calculator on it. Why? It’s a ‘phone.
It’s obvious to use the Nokia as ‘phoning a landline, for up to 50 mins a month, doesn’t cost me a bean but the Motorola’s more comfortable, easier to use and clearer to hear. Admittedly it’s bigger but the distance between my ear and my mouth hasn’t got smaller since I bought it.

I don’t think there are phones available that do not come with games and web access etc. My phone has some really pathetic Tamagotchi-like (1990s craze) creature which you have to care for every day. Not surprisingly, the poor little pet is neglected.

But don’t anyone go reporting me to the RSPCA, it’s not real!

Currently using a Samsung T100 who have recently released a couple of brand new phones — might be worth a look?

Mixtec…
In the UK even school kids have mobile phones.
There are so many phones to choose from at the end of the day its totally up to you. Web access is one of the main selling points as with cameras

Can someone outline what qualitys make a good cellphone. Ive never owned one as Ive never really needed one, but I plan on getting one in the next few months. I main interest is internet connectivity which I dont think has really taken off yet.

I used to be a ‘Nokia Nut’ but things changed when I went to update my old 8310. Ive now got a free Sharp GX1 on O2. Its got a built in camera (not brilliant but OK) good graphics and sounds. Going from nokia to sharp made the menu screen fiddly but Ive got used to it now. I still have a works 3410 and when i put them side by side the 3410 looks so dated.
This is just my personal view

Stella? Now I understand… The phone commited suicide. Poor thing 😀

I won’t be able to give you any advice regarding a phone, I’m still using a Nokia 5110… Maybe I should change it once, because it’s getting really old…

Well so far so good with my 7210 so thats on my recommendation list. Also the 7250 dont look bad, has an inbuilt camera… just like the 7210, but with the camera.

As for others, the video phones look OK, but all of them are only on a monthly subscription at the moment as far as I know.
