Whirlwind Fighter Replica

There is a group in being, intent on building a precise (non-flying) replica of a Whirlwind fighter.
I did a search and can find no mention here, so just in case it has been missed I thought I would put something in.

There is a website: http://www.whirlwindfighterproject.webs.com/

I don’t think the eventual home for it has been decided yet, but I am sure there will be room for discussion.

Firebex. Have signed up to your forum within the last few moments ! Have been to City of Norwich Aviation Museum and collected a few photos of Rays replica in its new position !
And discovered another, very interesting, hobby which Ray indulged in ???
Will have to wait before posting photos as my PB account is a little overloaded untill the 10th of the month 🙁

Yes guys we are alive and kicking and indeed we are also on this forum our birthplace so to speak. Our inspiration came from the late Shedmans endevours and his cockpit sections currently on display at Norwich museum.

The group for this noble endeavour formed on this very forum, in the course of this thread:

Should be marvellous when it’s done!
