Whirlwind Pilots Notes Cockpit shots

Does anyone know who took the original shots, would it be Westlands?

And as you can see I need to find out just what these two transfers refer to and their exact wording?

Hmmm… 😉

Many thanks

I’ve seen original 10″ x 8″ photographic prints in the IWM photo library of other aircraft types, which were taken for handling notes; it’d be worth contacting them, likewise the RAFM Archive, and also the chap who looks after the archive at Westlands, who we’ve found very helpful. PM for details if you want.

Thanks Rocketeer, at the risk of appearing dim… What exactly do you mean by the term ‘Handling Squadron’

The right panel Has I think the word ‘Warning’ at the top and the word’s ‘Panel Removal Procedures’ at the bottom and that’s about all I can make out with these peepers of mine. Of course the later aircraft don’t have them at all, typical…
I did hope that the layout would be in the AP, but sadly there’s none like it at all. ******!… This historic aviation research malarkey can be a bit of headache sometimes… Ha!

The shots would have been taken by Handling Squadron or their predecessor.
I shall have a think about the wording…awful lot to read to the poor pilot!! My first thoughts were that the rh pic was the accumulator…but no!

As an aside, my Swift F7 was used for the cockpit shots of the PN’s…so I should be able to get it right(ish!)
